In Rotterdam, after a positive CIZ opinion for Intensive Care (IZ), as a resident you can opt for a Personal Budget (PGB) within the Wmo or Wlz. The PGB in Rotterdam amounts to approximately €1,300 net per month for self-arranged care, such as babysitting, therapy or support via local providers in neighbourhoods such as Charlois or Feijenoord. Submit your application to the Rotterdam municipality via the Wmo desk or Wlz contact point, including a care plan with budget holder agreement and drawing right at the SVB. Advantages: maximum flexibility in care choice, fitting Rotterdam's diversity; disadvantages: administrative burdens and strict control on expenditure by the municipality. Rejection is possible if the plan is insufficiently substantiated. Annual accountability is mandatory with receipts and invoices, supported by Rotterdam care desks. In case of misuse, recovery follows by the SVB. The Wmo art. 41 regulates PGB as an alternative to care in kind. For disputes regarding PGB history in Rotterdam: consult the Juridisch Loket Rotterdam or a specialised lawyer in the region.
